The Member sign up system was a little wonky due to updates. I have changed over the payment system/signup form to the store/product type system which works just fine.

It uses PayPal – from which you DO NOT need a PayPal account as you can use credit cards as well.  I also accept e-transfers at glenn@nipigon.com.

A new Map has been added to the member’s section under GPS enabled Smartmaps.

It is a standard tabloid-sized PDF that can be printed, it is also a GPS enabled Avenza Map for loading on your smartphone.

Fraser Lake

Walleye, Pike and Perch with a sandy beach at the concrete boat launch Crown land camping and parking just off the lake.
Boat Launch is located on a wide sandy beach and is very shallow for some distance.

Accessed via Highway 585 (Cameron Falls Road) – turn north at Petro Canada Station. 20km on the left-hand side to Fraser Lake road. Approximately 16 km in, road is rough in some places but easily passable.

Lake is a highly productive lake with numerous shoals, rocky outcrops and weed beds. Care must be taken when first venturing into this lake. Not all shoals are indicated on map and many skegs have been lost to unseen shoals.

Jesse Lake

Close proximity to Male Lake (Stocked Brook trout Lake) with additional Crown Land Camping location.

Maintained Boat Launch is located on the gravel southern shore accessed via bush road off of Highway 585 (Cameron Falls Road) – turn north at Petro Canada Station.

Lake is a part of the Nipigon River and allows access up river to Split Rock and Pine Portage Dam.

Down-river blocked by Alexander Dam. Between Cameron Falls Dam and Alexander Dam is “Little Fraser”. Unmaintained boat launch or shore launching. Some Shore fishing opportunities and some walleye present.

Cameron Falls Dam is the furthest up-river non-native species like Rainbow Trout and Salmon can reach. Concrete Boat Launch and some shore fishing opportunities below Alexander Dam.
